Meet the Team

Rick Hall headshot

Rick Hall
Weekday Mornings

Rick is an Orange County, CA native-turned Midwesterner. Even as a little boy growing up in suburban Chicago, Rick dreamed of being on the radio. After finishing school, Rick packed up his things and realized his love for radio, stopping in cities such as Peoria, Rockford, Milwaukee, Las Vegas, New York City… only before returning home to Chicago. Rick is married to his high school sweetheart, Sarah. On the advice of everyone around him, Rick avoided drinking the water while honeymooning in Mexico. However, Rick failed to heed one important fact – wearing your wedding ring in the ocean isn’t a great idea. While boogie boarding, his ring slipped off and went out to sea. It was nowhere to be found.

Rick and Sarah have a daughter, June, and son, Marshall. Chances are you’ll find the two of them together enjoying their favorite meal of the day, breakfast, or sipping a latte at an eclectic coffeehouse.

Jon Hemmer headshot

Jon Hemmer
Weekday Afternoons

Jon has been a Chicago native his entire life... Actually, change that to “Chicago Suburb Native.” However, he has been working in Chicago for the past 20 years, and he isn’t shy when it comes to discussing his favorite Chicago foods… he’s also been a Chicago Bears fan for as long as he can remember.

When he’s not on Moody radio, you could probably find Jon hanging out with his wife Cari and their Golden Doodle Charlie. Coming from a musical family, he has been a drummer for 30 years… Wow! That makes him sound really old. He loves music and besides drumming for several churches in the Chicago area, you might find him doing studio session work playing the drums or keyboards. Besides playing, he likes creating audio along with DJing…

Besides music, Jon loves movies and he has found himself to be an avid reader over the past couple of years. Who would have thought?

Feel free to send Jon an email. Thanks for listening!
