1: The Key Ingredients to Raising Great Kids

How do we cultivate a family culture that’s vibrant and encouraging – a refuge amidst life’s storms? Homeschool mom and counselor, Melissa Hannigan, shares personal stories from her family life that show how to nurture our child’s God-given traits.

She also shares the heartache of losing her son Joey, and offers encouragement for anyone who has lost a child. Find out more in her book Inconvenient Parenting: Activate Your Child’s God Given Traits.

Then, God has planted in you dreams, talents, and passions that are part of who you are and who you’re to become. But maybe your dream has died or you think, “that ship has sailed.” Not true! God calls you to fan into flame the gift that is in you.

Shawna was elated when she heard that she was going to become a grandma. But that’s not all she felt. With her children living in Australia she had to reconcile her expectations of what being a grandma would look like versus the reality of having her grandbaby live over 9,000 miles away.

Last, Stephen Hawking, the brilliant physicist’s ultimate hope for humanity was that we find a way to colonize planets so that humans don’t end up destroying each other in a survival of the fittest world. It’s a conversation about the bankruptcy of the modern worldview and the meaning, purpose, and identity we find in the Christian worldview.
