Perry and Shawna Mornings

“G’day, Mate! How are you going?”

Shawna just returned from Australia and the Aussie’s pace of life made her wonder, “Am I enjoying the journey?” She reflects on Jesus’ pace of life. He wasn’t in a hurry. He took time for the people he ran into even when there was an urgency about where he was going. Are you enjoying the journey?

And now it’s time for another edition of Sauna Stories With Perry. Not really, but God did set Perry up to share the good news with six teenagers in the sauna at MVP. The only thing Perry needed to do was somehow push past his fear.

Next, while in Australia Shawna got to be in church with her daughter and son in law. She shares what she learned from her son in law’s message about being honest with God about our feelings, about our desires, and trusting Him with our future.

Perry shares, “It’s really easy for me to fall into trying to impress you. To work hard gain your respect, applause, admiration. It’s so deeply ingrained that it even showed up in my dreams last night.” 

Then, do you believe that God has a plan even when things aren’t going the way you want them to? Shawna and her husband had an unexpected 9-hour delay in their looooong journey back from Australia.

Because of the delay they met strangers who became friends as they spent an extra 9 hours in the airport overnight. What we call “delays” God calls “my plan.”
