Let Shame Drive You To Jesus
Shame is a deadly poison. It says, “What you’ve done wrong is who you are and who’ll you’ll always be, there’s no hope.” And yet that deadly poison is just what God uses to show us our need.
Dr. Jeremy GrinnelI joins us to answer your Bible questions. He earned his Ph.D. in Systematic Theology from Calvin Seminary in Grand Rapids, MI, and taught theology at Cornerstone for nearly 15 years.
Here are some of the great questions that came in from our listeners today.
How can any good come from shame? Then, why did Jesus tend to refer to Himself as the "Son of Man?” Next, “In Ezekiel. God also calls Ezekiel ‘son of man’ does that mean Ezekiel was divine?”
And, “God asks Ezekiel to do some strange things. Lie on your left side and place the sins of Israel on yourself. Is this symbolism or did he really do it?”
Last, what’s the difference between believing in Jesus and receiving Jesus? And if you only believe in Jesus and don’t receive him, are you really a child of God?
