How Can I Become a Better Version of Myself?
We’re currently not showing up as the best version of ourselves in the world today. Judging, canceling and even just walking by others is not what we were created for.
Rev. Percy McCray Jr., has been working with cancer patients and caregivers for almost 3 decades now helping them to see that faith is a key component to cancer treatment.
Almost five years ago Percy was diagnosed with colon cancer. His cancer diagnosis helped hm become a better version of himself.
Today he helps us to consider: How can I become a better version of myself? How can I make the world a better place? How do we show up in the earth as a global citizen? And how do we stop competing with others and simply compete with ourselves?
Then, in Matthew 11:28 Jesus invites us to work with him and to show us how to live in the unforced rhythms of grace.
The Lord dropped a dream in Perry’s heart. And then, Perry wrestled it away from the Lord thinking he knew best what the dream should look like. Let’s just say Perry learned that the Lord doesn’t need his advice.
Shawna shares how she has a tendency to pull inward and withdraw from the world when she feels unsafe. Psalm 16 has been a huge comfort to her as she remembers that she is ultimately safe in God.

Perry LaHaie is a radio host, singer, and songwriter with a passion to see the Great Commission completed in our generation. He was born and raised in northern Michigan, earned a degree in communications, and later a graduate degree in cross-cultural communications. Music and ministry have taken him all over the world. He served at Family Life Radio before serving with Frontiers, a worldwide ministry to Muslims. Perry and his wife, Teresa, have two children, Kali and Taylor.

Born and raised in Southern California, she has been married for 25 years and is the mom of four.
