1: “I Was an Addict, a Liar, and an Alcoholic.” – Ben Fuller
Singer & Songwriter, Ben Fuller, grew up on a farm in Vermont, working alongside his father. He passed the time singing old country tunes. Somewhere between high school & college he picked up a guitar and never looked back.
He was at Unity Christian Music Festival last week and Shawna got to sit down and have a heart to heart with him before he took the mainstage.
Ben opens up about how serving in prison ministry fills him up and shares the story behind his song “Who I Am.” When he met Jesus he was an addict, a liar, and an alcoholic. He says that his first experience with God is the highest he’s ever been.
He talks about how he wished someone had told him at the beginning that following Jesus would be hard. And then he speaks directly to the person who is where he was just 3 and a half years ago. You’ll want to hear what he says.
2: “Someone Should Do Something to Help These Kids”
Back in 2010 Donny Irving purchased the most affordable house in Grand Rapids. Soon after, he had kids trespassing on his property, playing hoops in his driveway. His neighbor, and elderly gentleman named Pete said, “Someone should do something to help them out.”
That was Donny’s call to ministry. Instead of kicking them off his property he opened up his home to them and started a bible study.
Community Kids transforms communities through kids. Through camps, mentors, and serving, kids are giving their lives to Jesus and it’s changing the way they think, act and talk.
Donny brings Theirry & Amicka into the studio with him and they share their stories of meeting and following Jesus. God is on the move on the streets of Grand Rapids!

Born and raised in Southern California, she has been married for 25 years and is the mom of four.
