“God Can You Forgive Me For Taking a Life?”
On February 2nd, 1996, 16-year-old Saulo Montalvo and two of his friends pulled up to a party store in Grand Rapids, MI with a plan to take the money and the life of the clerk. In August 1996 Saulo was sentenced to spend the rest of his life in prison with no possibility of parole.
Saulo’s now free in Christ and free from prison and works with Mel Trotter Ministries. Mel Trotter Ministries is working to bring an end to homelessness one life at a time through the power of Jesus.
As a true wounded healer Saulo opens up his pain: he shares about the deep soul wound as a boy that led to incredible anger; the fateful day of the crime; crying out to Jesus after he was caught, being called into ministry through Moody Radio, how God works through our greatest failures, and his face-to-face meeting with the family of the party store clerk whose life was taken.
