The doctors encouraged her to choose abortion. They warned her, explaining the risks her child would face once out of the womb. Susan Mathews chose life for her son, who lived for 19 years. Today, cofounder of Love Without Reason, she helps provide hope and healing for other children who suffer from the physical and emotional effects of craniofacial differences.
