“Don’t Cross This Line!”
When God gives you a kingdom dream and you step into it, you will be opposed. That’s what Enoch and Nathan faced as they walked into an Islamic city to share Jesus. An angry man got in their faces, drew a line in the dirt and said, “Don’t cross this line!”
Then, instead of blending in to a polluted world we can be a breath of fresh air! Paul encourages us to shine like stars in a crooked and depraved generation by not complaining.
Next, there will be plenty of opportunities in December to feel like getting the right gift, or having the cookies turning out just right, is the most important thing. Let’s keep Jesus at the center this Christmas.
Then, Peter, who denied Jesus three times, was forgiven, and learned how to lead. Before his denial he wanted to rule on a throne, but after his failure he learned that leading looks like washing feet. And it’s the same for you and me.
Last, we love feeling needed but feeling needed isn’t the reason to say “yes.” It’s okay to respectfully decline.
