Hour 1: This Homeward Ache

Author Amy Baik Lee looks toward Heaven with her upcoming book This Homeward Ache: How Our Yearning for the Life to Come Spurs on Our Life Today.

Amy is a member artist of the Anselm Society Arts Guild and a contributing writer at The Rabbit Room and The Cultivating Project. A rapt recipient of stories, she holds a Master of Arts in English from the University of Virginia. She works at a desk overlooking a small cottage garden in Colorado, usually surrounded by her husband’s woodworking projects, her two daughters’ drawings, and music that inevitably influences the tone of her words.

To wrap up today's show, Katie J. Trent will provide us with a fun resource to connect our kids and real life to God's Word! Listen and learn more about her book Recipes for a Sweet Child: Creative, Bible-Based Activities to Help Your Family Thrive.

Katie is the author of "Dishing Up Devotions: 36 Faith-Building Activities for Homeschooling Families" (Whitaker House). She's also a popular blogger, speaker, homeschool mama, and a Pinterest drop-out with a messy house and happy kids—most of the time. Katie lives in South Carolina with her husband James and their two children. As a licensed clinical social worker, Katie has over a decade of experience in counseling, ministry, and church planting alongside her husband. Hour 2: Sept 7, 2023 Hour 2

Peter Rosenberger understands what it means to care for an impaired loved one. He will help us find practical, emotional, and spiritual help based on his book A Minute for Caregivers: When Everyday Feels Like Monday.

For nearly forty years, radio host, author, speaker, accomplished pianist, and a black belt in Hapkido, Peter has personally traveled the path of the family caregiver. In an unparalleled journey with his wife Gracie, he has navigated a medical nightmare that has mushroomed to 85+ operations, the amputation of both of Gracie's legs, treatment by more than 100 doctors in 13 hospitals, 7 medical insurance companies, and $15 million in medical bills. Since 2013, he has carried his message of health and hope for the caregiver to the airwaves, hosting his own weekly show on 1510 WLAC (IHEART) in Nashville. In September 2017, Peter's show for caregivers became the first to go into syndication. HOPE FOR THE CAREGIVER is now heard weekly on more than 200 stations. Peter and Gracie reside in Southwest Montana.
